Ex-Rangers striker Jonatan Johansson is reportedly in contention to work alongside Pedro Caixinha.

According to The Scottish Sun, Jonatan Johansson is set to hold talks with Rangers over the possibility of joining Pedro Caixinha’s coaching staff.
Caixinha, 46, arrived as Rangers boss earlier this month, and after David Weir followed Mark Warburton in leaving Ibrox in February, the Portuguese boss made three coaching appointments.
Helder Baptista, Pedro Malta and Jose Belman have all joined Caixinha at Ibrox – but one position on the Rangers coaching staff remains open, with Caixinha keen to add a ‘local’ coach to help him transition to life in Scotland.
Ex-Rangers men Barry Ferguson, John Brown, Peter Lovenkrands and Alex Rae have already held talks with the club about joining Caixinha, as they can all offer him an in-depth knowledge about the history, traditions and culture of the club.
Now, The Scottish Sun report that another former Rangers player is set for talks with the club, as Jonatan Johansson has emerged as candidate number five for the Gers.
Johansson, now 41, hit 25 goals in just 71 games for Rangers having joined from Estonian side Flora Tallinn back in 1997, spending three years at Ibrox before heading to the Premier League with Charlton Athletic in 2000.

The Finn, who scored 22 goals in 106 games for Rangers, has held two coaching roles in Scotland since ending his playing career having worked with both Greenock Morton and Motherwell.
Now, with Rangers hoping to land a ‘local’ coach before next weekend’s game against Motherwell, Johansson has emerged as a dark horse for the job, though Ferguson and Rae are the favourites right now.
