Rangers loanee Jon Toral has reportedly left Ibrox to return to Arsenal.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers loanee Jon Toral has played his final game for the club having returned to Arsenal for treatment on a season-ending injury.
Toral, 22, was signed by former Rangers boss Mark Warburton during the January transfer window, with the pair reuniting having previously worked together at Brentford.
The Spaniard penned a loan deal until the end of the season, and whilst he struggled to impress under Warburton, he had started to show signs of improvement under Pedro Caixinha, particularly in last month’s 2-0 win over Partick Thistle.
However, that appears to be Toral’s final match for Rangers, as he has been sidelined through injury ever since, and is now believed to have returned to Arsenal.

The Daily Record report that Toral has gone back to Arsenal for treatment on a rib injury that has plagued him in recent weeks, meaning Rangers will have to make do without the playmaker for their final three games of the season.
It’s added that Toral will now hold talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger about his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium, having been loaned out four times since 2014.

The news comes as another blow to Rangers, as fellow midfielder Emerson Hyndman – who arrived in January alongside Toral – has also returned to parent club Bournemouth in order to heal an injury.
That means that the likes of Andy Halliday, Josh Windass and Jason Holt will be relied upon in the middle of the park, giving all three a real chance to impress Caixinha before he dips into the summer transfer market.
