The forward has missed the Championship side’s last two games with injury.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson
Wolverhampton Wanderers look set to receive a major boost ahead of their first game following the international break as the Express and Star reports that Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is on track to make his return from injury against Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old has not been involved in either of the club’s last two games after sustaining a groin injury, the Express and Star reports.
Wolves manager Walter Zenga
The Express and Star adds that he is unlikely to join up with the Iceland national team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers, but is set to be ready for Walter Zenga’s men’s first game following the break.
The news that Bodvarsson should feature at Villa Park will provide the squad with a considerable lift after a couple of disappointing results in his absence.
Wolves have lost both games 2-1 and now find themselves five points adrift of the top six in the Championship table.

And with Aston Villa perhaps seeking to appoint a new manager before the contest, Zenga will know that the forward’s return will help the team as they battle to combat the good feeling that will surely be around their opponents if they have found a permanent successor for Roberto Di Matteo.
Bodvarsson has scored twice and contributed two assists in the league already this season, so he will undoubtedly be one of the players Zenga looks to as they try to secure a positive result.
