Report: Jokanovic has recommended Norwich striker Jerome to Fulham’s board

Norwich City’s Cameron Jerome is said to be a target for Fulham.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has recommended Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome as one of 15 potential transfer targets, according to The Mirror.

It is claimed that Jokanovic, who led the Cottagers to sixth last season, believes ‘a mixture of experience and Championship know-how’ is crucial to his side’s promotion prospects.

However, Fulham’s board have failed to deliver on any of the Serbian’s suggestions, with Lugo’s Marcelo Djalo their only summer capture so far.

The Mirror reports that Djalo was signed as part of a strict ‘Moneyball’ system implemented by American data analyst Craig Kline, with whom Jokanovic is now said to be on a ‘collision course’.

It is claimed the former Watford boss has grown so frustrated he has even issued Fulham with ‘back me or sack me’ ultimatum.

Jerome has scored 74 goals in 236 games at Championship level, including 34 for Norwich, whom he joined for £1.6 million three years ago.

However, the Canaries are currently in the midst of a clearout of high earning stars, with John Ruddy, Youssouf Mulumbu and Sebastien Bassong leaving on free transfers and Graham Dorrans and Jonny Howson likely to follow in cut-price deals.
