John Terry is reportedly set to be appointed as Thierry Henry’s assistant boss at Aston Villa.

The Villans are currently without a manager after sacking Steve Bruce earlier this week in the wake of their draw with Preston North End. But it appears that they may be closing in on an appointment.
The Mail reports that both men were interviewed for the manager’s post, but Henry is set to be given the job due to his greater experience as a coach. But Terry will also get given a role in the new setup – the report adds that it is not clear at this stage whether he will combine his assistant duties with playing.

It is undoubtedly a very exciting combination if the report proves to be correct and Henry and Terry team up to try and turn Villa’s season around.
The pair may lack experience as bosses, but they are two of the outstanding Premier League players since the turn of the Millennium. And their arrivals are likely to capture the imagination of the supporters, and leave many rival fans expecting Villa to get their act together and get themselves back in the promotion mix.
