Aston Villa star Jack Grealish reportedly expects Tottenham Hotspur to come in for him and is now ready to leave.

The Mirror reports that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add Grealish to his ranks to provide Dele Alli with greater competition after the playmaker enjoyed a stunning season with the Villans where he undoubtedly got his career back on track.

The 22-year-old played a key role in guiding Steve Bruce’s side to the Championship play-off final, but in the wake of their Wembley defeat, Tottenham and West Ham are both interested in offering him a chance at the highest level, according to the report.
And it appears that Grealish is ready to leave his boyhood club. The Mirror suggests that former teammate Terry has fuelled his desire to move up to the highest level by stressing his quality, and Grealish is now expecting Daniel Levy to confirm Spurs’ interest by making an official move for him.

It is likely that Grealish departing will generate mixed feelings amongst the Villa supporters. The attacking midfielder is playing some of the best football of his brief career right now, but the Mirror alludes to the club’s financial concerns, and selling Grealish will seemingly alleviate some of the pressure on their books.
His form last season suggested that he is ready to realise his potential in the top flight, and it now appears that he is hoping to make the step up this summer. And Spurs may well have John Terry to thank should they manage to get a deal done.
