According to the Daily Record, Celtic’s John Kennedy is a contender for the Ross County job – but he may have already missed out.
It’s suggested that Ross County fancy Kennedy having parted ways with John Hughes on Monday afternoon.
However, Sky Sports claim that Ross County will now appoint Malky Mackay instead, with an announcement expected today.
Kennedy has been in interim charge of Celtic since February, having taken the reins following Neil Lennon’s resignation.
The 37-year-old won four of his 10 games in charge of the Bhoys, losing just twice – but both of those came against Rangers.
Kennedy won’t be landing the Celtic job permanently, but it’s suggested that he will still be offered a role under expected new boss Eddie Howe.
There is of course a possibility that Kennedy decides to leave Celtic and take a managerial job elsewhere after years of working himself up through the Bhoys coaching ranks.
That chance won’t come with Ross County as ex-Celtic defender Mackay will seemingly take over instead, but Kennedy may face a big decision this summer.
