Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton is set for showdown talks with Joey Barton on Monday.

Glasgow Rangers are not considering terminating Joey Barton’s contract, according to a report in the Daily Record.
Barton faces showdown talks with Rangers boss Mark Warburton on Monday, after he returns from suspension.
Barton was banished from Warburton’s team after a training game with his Ibrox teammate Andy Halliday.

However, the 33-year-old is still optimistic of turning things around at Rangers, in the face of adversity.
Barton reportedly remains optimistic of forcing his way back into Rangers’ team, and repairing his relationship with Warburton and his teammates at the Glasgow side.
Barton has struggled to live up to his promise of being the best player in Scotland, which he made when he signed for Rangers.

However, the former Burnley man is convinced that he can still make an impact at Ibrox, if given a chance.
Rangers are reportedly open to welcoming Barton back into the team, but much depends on how well his meeting goes with Warburton next week.
