Newcastle United are reportedly closing in on Joelinton.

According to Kicker, Hoffenheim have left striker Joelinton out of their team to face Jahn Regensburg today, because he’s in talks with Newcastle United right now.
The Magpies today confirmed the appointment of Steve Bruce as their manager, finally landing a replacement – albeit an unpopular one – for Rafael Benitez.
Bruce desperately needs a striker to arrive quickly, and that appears to be the case amid speculation for days now that a deal for Joelinton is close.
It’s now believed that the 22-year-old has been left out of a friendly today, because he’s currently in talks with Newcastle about completing a huge €40million (£36million) move to St James’ Park.
Kicker claimed yesterday that no deal was in place, so Joelinton was planning to head off to Hoffenheim’s training camp in Windischgarsten on Thursday, but that seemingly won’t happen.
Joelinton and his representatives are believed to be speaking to Newcastle right now in order to get a deal done, meaning a club-record signing is imminent for Bruce just hours after his appointment.

The Brazilian hit seven goals and five assists last season in an impressive campaign, showing his ability as a goalscorer and as a creator, much like Salomon Rondon was for Newcastle last season.
Joelinton fits a similar bill, possessing great strength and athleticism, but also aerial ability and technique, meaning he’s a real all-round forward – and one with huge potential to come with his massive transfer fee.
