Joao Virginia is playing for the Everton Under-23 side at the moment.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper has been part of the Everton Under-23 side and won the Premier League 2 title with the Merseyside outfit.
It has been reported that the Portuguese will be part of Marco Silva’s senior team next season.
Recent praise
Virginia is still relatively inexperienced, but the teenager has been superb for the Everton Under-23 side, and it makes sense for manage Silva to promote him to the first team.
Everton manager Silva recently praised the Portuguese youngster in The Liverpool Echo, suggesting that the teenager is too good to play at the Under-23 level (click here to read more).

Excitement for Everton fans
Jordan Pickford is the first-choice goalkeeper at Everton, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
The 25-year-old is a very good goalkeeper, but the England international does make mistakes from time to time.
Virginia has progressed well, and Everton fans should be excited and confident that the teenager can replace Pickford in the team in the coming years if need be.
