Concern for West Ham United?

Hernandez and Carroll are good strikers, and it should be a concern for West Ham that the duo (reportedly) want to leave the London club.

The Mexico international striker and the England international striker are not guaranteed playing time at the Hammers, and one can understand why the duo would want to find other clubs in the summer transfer window.

Former Manchester United striker Hernandez would easily find another good team in the Premier League, while Carroll could play regularly for a mid-table team in the English top flight.

Hernandez, 29, joined West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee stated on the London club’s official website to be worth £16 million.

Carroll, 29, cost the Hammers £15m in transfer fees – according to BBC Sport – when they signed him on a permanent contract from Liverpool in the summer of 2013.
