According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez has travelled to the UK to complete his move to Everton.
It’s claimed that Rodriguez has headed for Merseyside, and will undergo his medical ‘later this week’ ahead of finalising the deal.
It’s unclear just how much Everton are paying but a transfer fee has been agreed with Real and Rodriguez should be a Toffees player inside 48 hours.
Earlier this week, The Guardian reported that Everton needed to try and find a compromise with Rodriguez because of his £140,000-a-week wages.
It may well be that Everton give Rodriguez a long-term deal on less money, in order to make up for a loss of cash.
The 29-year-old will now reunite with Carlo Ancelotti, having worked with him at both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Fans will be excited by this move, as many will remember Rodriguez from his stunning performances at the 2014 World Cup, which ultimately resulted in him joining Real from Monaco.
Rodriguez isn’t quite the same player, and has lost his way at Real, but he could provide real magic if he can recapture his best form under Ancelotti.
