West Ham United have reportedly held talks with Jack Wilshere regarding a potential move to the London Stadium.

Wilshere is a free agent, and the Mirror reports that Fenerbahce have put a huge offer on the table. However, the midfielder is not rushing into a move to Turkey, with uprooting his family and his England future said to be on his mind.

The signs certainly hint that he is very keen for the Hammers to make the kind of offer that he would be more than happy to accept as the report clearly suggests that Fener’s offer is an appealing one in a financial sense.

And while it would be something of a gamble, it is difficult to argue that Wilshere signing would not be a fantastic deal for West Ham. If he can stay fit, a free transfer for the Englishman would be one of the best moves that the Hammers could possibly get done this summer.
He has a serious amount of quality and may perhaps be edging into the best years of his career. It is a risk for West Ham, but it could arguably prove to be the kind of deal that quickly turns into a masterstroke from the Irons should they manage to tempt Wilshere into arriving at the London Stadium.
