Sunderland could launch a move for Hibernian midfielder John McGinn.

According to The Scottish Sun, new Sunderland boss Jack Ross wants to lure Hibernian midfielder John McGinn to the Stadium of Light in an ambitious move this summer.
The Black Cats are preparing for life in League One after a second consecutive relegation, and have decided to snap up St Mirren boss Ross as Chris Coleman’s replacement.
With backing from new owner Stewart Donald, Ross may be looking to make a splash in the transfer market – and he could look back to Scottish football for his first signing.

The Scottish Sun report that Ross wants to take Hibernian midfielder John McGinn to England this summer, and will encourage Sunderland to launch a bid for the £3m-rated ace.
McGinn, 23, has emerged as one of the most talented midfielders in Scottish football with some superb displays for Hibernian, even earning seven caps for Scotland off the back of his performances at Easter Road.
Ross may have played for and managed St Mirren but he never crossed paths with ex-Buddies midfielder McGinn, with the new Sunderland boss now allegedly having a desire to work with the talented midfielder in what would be an ambitious move.

Premier League sides Bournemouth and Brighton have both been linked with McGinn, as have the likes of Leeds and Rangers, with a move to play in League One seeming somewhat unlikely.
Back in 2017, then-Sunderland boss David Moyes watched McGinn with the intention of bringing him to Wearside, as reported by the Daily Mail, and over a year on, Ross could be looking to push home a deal.
