Sunderland defender Bryan Oviedo forced his way back into Jack Ross’s team towards the end of the season.

Oviedo is one of Sunderland’s top earners, and needs to be offloaded following the North East side’s failure to earn promotion.

Oviedo forced his way back into Sunderland’s team towards the end of the campaign, and generally performed well.
However, Ross will reluctantly sanction the departure of the Costa Rican international.

Club Brugge are said to be interested in taking Ovideo off Sunderland, with his exit now edging closer.
Sunderland already have Denver Hume and Reece James at the club, so they may not need to buy another left-back if Oviedo does leave.
