According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Jack Ross is still confident that Sunderland will complete transfers before pre-season.

Sunderland have endured a frustrating time over the summer so far, with no new faces arriving at the Stadium of Light.

Ross has made no secret of his desire to bring in new talent at Sunderland, but the Black Cats have missed out on some of his initial targets.

Sunderland were thought to be interested in Florian Kamberi and Jason Naismith, but they ended up at Hibernian and Peterborough United, respectively.

Ross is still said to be confident that Sunderland will have new additions in the near future though.

Sunderland have made no secret of their desire to bring in quality at the Stadium of Light, as they look to bounce straight back from relegation and make an immediate return to the Championship.
