Despite leaving England’s under-21 squad due to a knee injury, Jack Grealish is expected to keep his place in Aston Villa’s starting line-up for their clash with Nottingham Forest today, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 21-year-old withdrew from Gareth Southgate’s squad a week ago as a precaution after picking up the knock in training, the Mail reports.

But after receiving treatment at Bodymoor Heath, the winger has been back training with his teammates over the last couple of days, the Mail adds, and is now expected to be selected to start the clash at Villa Park.
The news that Grealish’s injury is not serious will have been a relief to Roberto Di Matteo, and he will surely be delighted that he has put himself in contention to start against Philippe Montanier’s men.

The academy graduate appears to be enjoying his football once again, and that has seemingly brought the best out of him during the early stages of the new season.
He has already contributed two goals. And while it was ultimately in a losing effort, his strike against Bristol City was a moment of brilliance as he hooked the ball from behind him and into the far corner.
And Di Matteo will be hoping, if he does keep him in the starting line-up, that he can do something special once again to inspire the Villans to three points.
