If the choice is between staying at Stoke or joining Wolves, then Jack Butland wants to remain where he is.

Butland has been linked with an exit from the Bet365 Stadium following the Potters’ relegation from the Premier League, but there is a chance the goalkeeper could remain where he is.

The England international – who is currently in Russia as part of Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad – would be open to a move, but only to the right club.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have considered Butland and either of the top six sides would be of interest to the 25-year-old.

However, Jurgen Klopp is unsure if the ‘keeper is the right man for the Reds, while the Englishman would not want to act as understudy to Petr Cech at the Emirates Stadium.
Wolves seem to be the most likely to make a bid for Butland following their promotion from the Championship, but if they are the only option it seems the stopper would rather stay with Stoke and try and get them out of the second tier of English football than make the switch.
