Tottenham Hotspur found themselves heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco on transfer deadline day

The Spanish international is not a regular at the Bernabeu under the guidance of Zinedine Zidane and was therefore linked with a move to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham eventually did tie down deals for Pau Lopez, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko but Isco did not head to White Hart Lane.

He decided to stay with Real Madrid and fight for his place in the starting line-up.

But according to Sport.es he is now determined to leave the club in the winter.

Isco is said to be looking for an exit and Real Madrid are keen to sell.

The Spanish international would be a fantastic signing for a Premier League team – but Spurs may not currently have room in their squad for him, especially with the signing of Moussa Sissoko.

The 24-year-old has played just two games for Los Merengues this season and has not featured at all in September.

An ankle injury has been cited, but Sport claim that this is just an excuse.

If Tottenham are interested in the player though, it seems he is on the market for January.
