Report: Ipswich weighing up move for Charlton-linked manager Jack Ross

Ross, who turned down a move to Barnsley this year, is said to be a candidate for the Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic vacancies.

Ipswich Town are weighing up a move for St Mirren manager Jack Ross, who has also been linked with the Charlton Athletic vacancy, according to the Scottish Sun.

Ipswich are looking for a new boss after deciding to part company with Mick McCarthy at the end of his contract this summer.

And Ross, whose side could clinch the Scottish Championship title this weekend, is said to be a candidate to replace the Irishman.

However, landing him would be some coup for Ipswich – not to mention Charlton – after the 41-year-old turned down moves to Dundee and Barnsley within the last 12 months. He also told the Daily Record on Thursday that he “loves” being manager of St Mirren.
