AFC Wimbledon striker Lyle Taylor is a summer target for Championship sides Ipswich Town and Burton Albion, according to the Daily Mirror (March 28th, page 58).

Taylor has scored 16 goals in 44 games for Wimbledon this season, but is out of contract in three months time.

And the Daily Mirror reports the 27-year-old plans to run down his deal and leave on a free transfer – three years after his arrival from Scunthorpe United.

Championship move beckons?

Taylor has never before played above League One level, and after reaching double figures for goals in consecutive third tier seasons, it could be argued that he is ready to step up.

Considering Burton’s position – three points from safety – Ipswich could be favourites for the Londoner’s signature.
