Inter are determined to sign Nemanja Vidic when his contract at Manchester United expires this summer, according to Italian press reports.
Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic was linked with several Serie A sides in January but Inter weren’t one of them.
The Serbian international’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the current campaign and it appears that he won’t be signing a new one.
Vidic reportedly became a target for AC Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina in the winter window but he stayed put.
The Turin-based newspaper claims that Inter may have already made contact with Vidic’s representative in a bid to get in front of the pack.
However, Inter are having a disappointing season and coach Walter Mazzarri is under increasing pressure with rumours he could be axed soon.
The Nerazzurri have a lot of work to do if they are to secure a place in next season’s Champions League, which would surely be a requirement for luring a player of Vidic’s level.
