Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport that Inter Milan will not sell Alessandro Bastoni to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that he has been told that former Serie A champions Inter do not plan to sell Bastoni in the middle of the season.
InterLive reported in October 2022 that Tottenham are interested in signing the central defender in the January transfer window.
The report claimed that Spurs could make a bid of €50 million (£43.34 million) for the 23-year-old Italy international central defender next summer.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also reported to be interested in Bastoni.

Tottenham head coach Conte worked with Bastoni at Inter.
The Italy international centre-back has made nine starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A and has made five appearances in the UEFA Champions League so far this season.
Inter are fifth in the Serie A table at the moment with 30 points from 15 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Lazo.
Meanwhile, Tottenham currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League standings with 29 points from 15 games.
Inter will not sell Alessandro Bastoni to Tottenham in January
Romano said: “They’re looking for a centre-back because, in that position, they probably need a new player in January.
“I have seen a lot of links with Alessandro Bastoni, but I’m told that Inter are not open to letting him go in January.”
