Inter are one of 12 clubs hoping to sign Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell, according to a report in the Sun today.
Manchester City’s Jack Rodwell is in high demand if reports in the Sun are to be believed and Italian giants Inter are amongst his alleged admirers.
The 23-year-old has seen his career stall somewhat since his big-money move from Everton two years ago and it may be time for him to move on.
The paper claims that as many as nine Premier League teams, plus former side Everton, may fight for his signature in addition to Spanish sides Valencia and Villarreal and Inter.
The San Siro side are on the brink of signing Cardiff man Gary Medel and have been pursuing Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic, apparently unsuccessfully.
Aside from Everton, the English sides who would fight Inter for Rodwell are said to be Hull City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Stoke, Southampton, West Ham, Tottenham, Swansea and West Brom.
Inter may struggle to compete financially with several of those clubs because despite their prestige like many Italian clubs they have limited budgets and only secured Europa League football for next season.
