An ill-timed injury could scupper Herbie Kane’s hopes of leaving Liverpool this summer, while goalkeeper Kamil Grabara may be on his way to Greece or Germany, according to Goal.
Unfortunately for the pair of highly-rated youngsters, a place in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team remains out of their reach – possibly forever.
Grabara is not only stuck behind Alisson Becker, arguably the world’s best shot-stopper, in the pecking order, but also Adrian and Caoimhin Kelleher.
And Kane, a Bristol-born midfielder who models himself on Steven Gerrard, might have missed the boat already at the age of 21.
The late-blooming set-piece specialist made his senior debut in Liverpool colours during an EFL Cup victory over MK Dons last September. However, with the likes of Jake Cain and Leighton Clarkson catching Klopp’s eye since then, it seems unlikely that Kane has a part to play at a club he joined seven years ago.
A summer move, either temporary or permanent, looks like the best possible solution. But it is not as simple as that.

Goal claims that a Kane has undergone surgery on a hamstring injury with an extended spell on the sidelines potentially set to put off Football League clubs from taking a punt on a man who has shown flashes of excellence at Hull City and Doncaster Rovers.
Grabara, however, appears to have one foot out of the door already with PAOK and Hamburg interested.
The 21-year-old Pole endured a mixed spell at Huddersfield Town in 2019/20, losing his place to Jonas Lossl in the spring.
