Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies is ‘hopeful’ of playing tonight in what would be a major fitness boost for Jose Mourinho’s side, the London Evening Standard report.
Tottenham are set to take on Liverpool later, and there are serious concerns over their left-back issues.
Sergio Reguilon is definitely out for the next three weeks, while Davies is said to be a ‘doubt’.
Davies picked up a knock in Tottenham’s game against Wycombe but, crucially, the Standard does not rule him out entirely.
Indeed, they say that Welshman is hoping to play, and that could be key to Tottenham’s chances.
With Reguilon out, Davies is the only other natural left-back in Tottenham’s senior squad.

If Davies doesn’t make it then Mourinho’s options at the back look seriously short, with Japhet Tanganga the next most likely player to feature.
Tanganga has performed at left-back for Mourinho before, but is more comfortable in the centre or on the right.
And starting him in an unfamiliar position against Mohamed Salah could be a big risk for Spurs to have to take.
