Diogo Jota could return for Liverpool to face Chelsea at the start of next month, the Telegraph report.

Jota has not been seen in a Liverpool shirt since December, when he picked up a knee injury.

The Portuguese striker has taken a long time to recover from the problem, but there is hope that is comeback is on the horizon now.

Jota is set to return to Liverpool on Wednesday and while playing against Sheffield United this weekend is likely to come too soon for him, he could feature against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side on March 4th.

That would be a major boost for the Reds, who have not looked themselves going forward in recent times.

Liverpool have scored just nine goals in their last 11 Premier League matches – and six of those goals came in games against West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have simply drawn too many blanks and their position in the top four now appears to be under threat.

However, Jota’s return should help them in an attacking sense.

The £41 million forward (Daily Mail) netted nine goals in his first 17 games for Liverpool and with Roberto Firmino continuing to struggle, he may come into Klopp’s starting plans when he is fully fit.
