Fikayo Tomori has picked AC Milan over Newcastle United, Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested.
The Chelsea defender, who Frank Lampard once called ‘incredible’, has been a target of Newcastle and is ‘well-liked’ by Steve Bruce’s side.
However, the latest update in Italy says that Tomori has revealed his preference to sign for Milan.
That is, perhaps, understandable, given the respective seasons both sides are having.
Although a move to Newcastle would have allowed Tomori to stay in England, he could potentially be part of a relegation scrap at St. James’ Park.
A move to Italy should allow him to feature in a title challenge, however, with Milan currently leading the way in Serie A.

The news does mean that Newcastle may have to look elsewhere for another central defensive option.
Bruce has seemingly been keen to add a centre-back on loan since the summer, but Newcastle have found finding targets of the right quality and availability difficult.
