Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is getting fed up of waiting for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to make a bid for him, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal have a genuine interest in Tielemans, but the Gunners are yet to bid for the Leicester star

The 25-year-old Belgium international midfielder – described as “an incredible talent” by former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson on Sky Sports News (12:59pm, October 23, 2021) – is getting fed up of his current situation, according to Jones.

Arsenal target Youri Tielemans getting fed up

Jones told GiveMeSport about Tielemans:“I think Tielemans has got a bit fed up of waiting for this, it’s been a long time we’ve been talking about him going to Arsenal or Manchester United, but the situation is still the same and nobody has actually knocked on the door with an offer.

“We know that Arsenal have a genuine interest and they’ve got all of the background work done on him and they’ve even got their proposed terms set up for if they were to go ahead with this one.”

Could a transfer happen?

In our opinion, if Arsenal are really keen on signing Youri Tielemans in the summer transfer window, then they have to make an offer to Leicester City right now.

The window will close in a matter of weeks, and there is no point in the Gunners playing the waiting game now.

If Arsenal do leave it late to make a bid, then Leicester may not actually sell Tielemans as they would then have to find a replacement for him even though the Belgian is out of contract at the Foxes next summer.

If the Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the Leicester midfielder, then they should start talks with Leicester and get the deal over the line.
