Billy Dodds could leave his current role and join Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox club Rangers, according to The Times.
What’s the story?
The Times have reported that Van Bronckhorst could become the new manager of Rangers.
Talks between Rangers and the former Ibrox star have gone well.
The report has claimed that Rangers would like the Dutch manager to have coaches on his staff who know Scottish football well.
This, according to the report, could lead to a role for Dodds, who is now in charge of Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Former Barry Ferguson and Neil McCann are also in the frame.
Could Billy Dodds to Rangers happen?
Dodds is a very experienced coach who is well respected in Scottish football.
In our view, the 52-year-old former Scotland international striker would be a brilliant addition to the Rangers coaching set-up.

Dodds is a very good pundit as well,
And he also played for Rangers from 1999 until 2003.
However, Inverness may not want Dodds to leave now.
After all, Inverness are third in the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 25 points from 14 games, four points behind leaders Kilmarnock.
