The German international was free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with other clubs when his deal entered the final six months back in January.

According to Tuttosport there IS an agreement in place between Can and Juventus but the midfielder wants to make a final decision at the end of the season as he wants to remain focused on Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League campaigns as well as securing a place in Germany’s Russia World Cup squad.

The other factor delaying the deal is reported to be the fact Juventus are yet to agree on a commission fee with Can’s agent.

Juventus face a battle to retain their throne as Serie A champions under pressure from Napoli and the Turin club’s main concern is that the 24-year-old is holding out to see what other offers he can get between now and then.

Liverpool have central midfielder Naby Keita coming in this summer, a deal which may well be a catalyst for Can’s decision if he feels it will restrict his playing time.
