According to ESPN, Idrissa Gueye could complete his move to Everton within the next 24 hours.
The Blues are keen to bring the Aston Villa midfielder to Goodison Park this summer and have activated the £7.1 million release clause in his current contract.
They are yet to complete a move though, leading Everton fans to worry that they may be set to miss out on another midfield target this summer.

Those fears were not helped by the Sun reporting that West Ham were set to make a last ditch attempt to sign him from under the nose of their Premier League rivals.
However, according to ESPN, he is undergoing medical tests on Merseyside and could sign a long-term deal within the next 24 hours.

He will become the club’s second signing of the summer after they completed a move for goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg earlier in the transfer window.
Ronald Koeman will be hoping that his arrival can be the first of several more before the end of the transfer window as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for a top six place at the least.
