Idrissa Gueye joined Everton back in the summer of 2016.

The Senegal international has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Aston Villa for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £7.1 million.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the former Lille star’s current contract with the Toffees runs until June 2020.

It has been reported by The Telegraph that Gueye is on the verge of signing a new deal with Everton.
The 28-year-old has featured in 23 Premier League appearances for the Toffees so far this season.
During the 2016-17 campaign, Gueye started 32 matches in the league for Everton, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.

Gueye is a very good defensive midfielder who has established himself as key player in the current Everton.
While there is still some time to run on Gueye’s current contract, it makes sense for the Toffees to hand him a new deal.
