Leeds United are reportedly looking to sign winger Ibai Gomez.

According to AS, Alaves winger Ibai Gomez doesn’t want to rush any decision on his future amid interest from Leeds United as well as La Liga clubs.
Gomez, 28, has been starring in La Liga this season, as he has notched three goals and one assist in just 10 games, as he looks to build on last season’s tally of seven goals and six assists.
The winger made his name with Athletic Bilbao before heading to Alaves in 2016 in search of first-team football, and it’s a move which has certainly paid off.
Now though, the set-piece specialist is attracting major interest, with Goal reporting that Leeds United are confident of bringing him to Elland Road in January.
That would see him reunite with his former Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa, but AS note that Athletic and Real Sociedad are both keen to land Gomez too.
It’s also claimed that Gomez won’t be rushed on a decision about his future and will take his time to pick his next club, with offers set to arrive in January given that he is out of contract next summer.

Leeds allegedly failed with offers for Gomez over the summer, and news that the winger doesn’t want to be rushed into a decision may be frustrating.
Leeds won’t want to miss out as Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad circle, but if the Whites really are confident that he will pick a reunion with Bielsa, then they will certainly hope that he is worth the wait, as there is every chance that Gomez will wait until next summer to move on when his contract ends, rather than leave in January.
