Hull City scout Stan Ternent is reportedly wanted by Aston Villa – but he’s happy where he is.
According to The Sun, Hull City scout Stan Ternent intends to stay at the KCOM Stadium despite Steve Bruce’s interest in reuniting at Aston Villa.
Bruce has raided Hull for new staff since taking the Villa job last month, luring Stephen Clemence as First Team Coach and Gary Woods as Goalkeeping Coach, which has helped him make an unbeaten start to life at Villa Park.

However, Bruce may not be done raiding Hull just yet. Whilst The Mirror recently claimed that Bruce is keen on Hull wing back Ahmed Elmohamady, it’s another staff member being linked with a move from the KCOM Stadium to Villa Park.
The Sun report that Villa and Bruce are interested in Hull City scout Stan Ternent, but he intends to stay with Hull and reject a reunion with Bruce.

Ternent, 70, is a former Hull manager who was brought back to the club as a scout by Bruce, and he’s been helping the Tigers find transfer targets for over four years now.
It’s claimed that Bruce wants to take Ternent to Villa despite the club recently appointing Ian Atkins – who worked with Bruce at Sunderland – as their new chief scout.

The report does though state that Ternent plans to snub a move to Villa Park and stay loyal to Hull, rather than follow Clemence and Woods to the Midlands.
Ternent also had a scouting role at Sunderland under Bruce, but a third spell together seems to be off the table, unless Villa can tempt Ternent into making the move before the January transfer window.
