Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates is reportedly on Hull City’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.

Yates looks set for an extremely bright future at the City Ground and was handed his senior Forest debut by Aitor Karanka during the Carabao Cup draw with Bury – that ended in a 10-9 penalty shootout victory for the Championship side.
The quality within Forest’s midfield however, has left Yates’ first-team prospects looking fairly bleak right now – and The Sun on Sunday is now suggesting that a loan move to one of their second tier rivals could potentially be on the cards.

If Yates is not going to get much game-time at the City Ground, it could arguably make a lot of sense to hand him the chance to join Nigel Adkins’ men until the end of the campaign.
The academy graduate has spent time out on loan in the three divisions below the Championship, so getting that chance to impress in the second tier appears to be the natural next step in his development. And if he will not get those minutes with Forest, then joining Hull seems to make a lot of sense for all parties.
