According to the Daily Mail, Hull City have made their first move for Micah Richards by making an enquiry for the Aston Villa defender.
Hull have been left frustrated in the transfer market this summer, and despite seeing manager Steve Bruce leave, the Tigers have actually enjoyed a fine start to the Premier League season.

A 2-1 win over champions Leicester City on the opening day of the season was a major shock, as was Saturday’s 2-0 away defeat of Swansea City, and there is hope that caretaker Mike Phelan will both get the job permanently and make moves in the transfer market too.
The Daily Mail now report that Hull are hoping to sign Aston Villa defender Micah Richards, and have made an enquiry to try and sign the former England international.

Richards, 28, was a major signing for former Villa boss Tim Sherwood last summer, as having seen his Manchester City contract expire, the Birmingham-born defender decided to return to his hometown with Villa.
However, Richards endured a miserable season, struggling in Villa’s defence as they suffered relegation to the Championship – and yet he could earn an immediate return to the Premier League.
Richards has played just once this season, and that was in the EFL Cup against Luton Town, with Roberto Di Matteo choosing not to use him in the Championship so far.
With seemingly little future at Villa Park, Richards may be keen on a move back to the Premier League, and Hull have made their first move to try and sign the player – but it remains to be seen whether the Tigers can get a deal over the line.
