Hull City want to sign the Liverpool product on loan next season.
According to The Liverpool Echo, Hull City want to sign Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent on a season-long loan.
The Reds are in talks with Hull over an £8 million deal for Andy Robertson, but The Echo reports that the Tigers’ move for the 20-year-old winger would be separate.
That being said, the report goes on to state that it would make negotiations over Robertson run a lot smoother if Kent was allowed a move to The KCOM Stadium next season.
Kent certainly seems to be an in-demand figure, with The Mirror reporting last week that Hull’s Championship rivals Birmingham City are also interested.
Meanwhile, The Scottish Sun reported have also suggested that Premiership champions Celtic are in the running, but a move to Hull might be his best bet.
If he wants his long-term future to be at Liverpool then a season-long stint at a promotion-challenging club like Hull would be better than Birmingham or Celtic.
The Blues might challenge for promotion, but City are more likely to be fighting at the right end of the Championship table, while the other 11 teams in Scotland’s top flight aren’t great in comparison to those in England’s second tier.
Kent made a big impression during his loan stint at Barnsley last season, making 45 appearances en route to being named as the club’s Young Player of the Year.
