Nemanja Nikolic was a summer target for Hull City, according to HITC Sport sources.
Hull City manager Mike Phelan attended Tuesday’s record-breaking Champions League encounter between Borussia Dortmund and Legia Warsaw, claims a report in this week’s Sunday People.
Dortmund beat the Polish side 8-4 at Signal Iduna Park, to set a competition record for most goals scored in a single match.

The tabloid reports the focus of Phelan’s attention was Warsaw striker Nemanja Nikolic, who HITC sources understand is a long-term Hull target.
And the Tigers boss will likely have returned to Yorkshire impressed, with Nikolic stepping off the bench to score his 14th goal of the season so far.

It takes the Hungary international to 50 in 83 games for the Ekstraklasa champions and Hull could do with that sort of firepower as they seek to arrest their slide towards the second tier.
According to the Sunday People, Phelan will make a January move for Nikolic, with Will Keane’s injury blow only increasing the need for attacking reinforcements at the KCOM Stadium.
Italian side Napoli and Greek champions Olympiacos were also said keen on the 28-year-old in August.
