Kenneth Zohore only signed a new contract with Cardiff City in April but that has not put off Hull City.

The form of Kenneth Zohore was arguably the highlight of Cardiff City’s 2016/17 season.

After netting just twice in 12 appearances on loan at The Bluebirds from KV Kortrijk in 2015/16, eyebrows were raised when the South Wales club signed the striker on a permanent basis last summer.

However, Zohore repaid their faith in style, netting 12 Championship goals as Neil Warnock led Cardiff to the safety of mid-table. Pacey, strong and blessed with a lethal finish, it’s no surprise that his performances have encouraged admiring glances from elsewhere.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Leonid Slutsky’s Hull City could attempt to lure Zohore to Humberside this summer.

As it stands, Adama Diomande, scorer of five goals in 33 league appearances, is the only senior option available to The Tigers apart from exit-linked Uruguayan Abel Hernandez.

Therefore, a proven Championship goalscorer like Zohore would be a fine addition as Hull aim to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking next season.

However, the Danish youth international, who netted twice at the European Under-21 Championships in Poland, would not come cheap. Zohore only signed a new deal until 2020 in April and Warnock is in no pressure to sell his prized asset.

Yet, Hull earned decent money from the sale of centre-back Harry Maguire to Leicester City, the report adds, and are expected to come into even more money with the likes of Andrew Robertson and Kamil Grosicki linked with big-money moves elsewhere.

Whether Hull will spend that money on Zohore, who has caught the eye of head of recruitment Lee Darnbrough, remains to be seen.
