Wednesday’s Keiren Westwood is a reported Tigers target.
Westwood denying Brighton’s Jiri Skalak
Hull City have made a move for Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, the Sun reports (Wednesday edition, page 49).
The Tigers could be without regular number 1 Allan McGregor until the New Year and are also said to have asked about Cardiff City’s David Marshall, who’s been tipped to cost £6 million.

But Westwood, whose play-off final heroics almost denied Hull a place in this season’s Premier League, could be the cheaper alternative, with a £2 million buy-out clause mentioned in the report.
The Republic of Ireland international was signed by Tigers boss Steve Bruce at Sunderland, but the 55-year-old was sacked four months later.
Westwood moved to Wednesday on a free transfer two summers ago and has been one of the Owls stand-out performers since then.

He signed a two-year contract extension at the start of last season, keeping him under contract until 2018.
Wednesday would be loathe to lose Westwood, but the recent capture of Jake Kean from Norwich City, as well as the emergence of England Under-21 international Joe Wildsmith last season, has left the Owls well-covered in case of emergency.
