Hull City are reportedly interested in signing Jay Rodriguez from Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Hull City are interested in signing Jay Rodriguez from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Hull have made an approach for the 27-year-old forward.
The Tigers reportedly want to secure the services of Rodriguez on a season-long loan deal.

Rodriguez has been on the books of Southampton since the summer of 2012 when he joined them from Burnley.
According to BBC Sport at the time, the Saints had to pay the Clarets a transfer fee of £7 million in order to secure the services of the England international.
Injuries have seen the forward lose his place in the Southampton team, and it is unlikely that he would be seen as a player for the starting lineup this season.

The 27-year-old could feature in just 12 Premier League matches for Southampton last season, creating three chances in the process.
Rodriguez did not play a single Premier League game during the 2014-15 campaign due to injury.
Back in 2013-14, the Southampton forward scored 15 goals and created 20 chances in 33 league appearances.
