According to Sky Sports (live transfer thread, 26 August 2016 at 17:03), Hull City have had a bid accepted for Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.
The Tigers have experienced a somewhat mad summer following Steve Bruce’s resignation, and most Premier League observers have tipped them as sure-fire favourites for relegation.
However, despite having a reported 13 senior players fit to choose from (according to The Daily Mail), caretaker boss Mike Phelan has started brilliantly at the KCOM Stadium with two league wins from two.

Hull first defeated Leicester City 2-1 at home, before facing Swansea City away and picking up a 2-0 win.
The East Yorkshire club are still short on numbers however, and it appears that Phelan is looking to bolster his goalkeeping options with the addition of Cardiff’s number one.
Marshall, 31, was once described as the ‘great wall’ following a superb display against Barcelona, but his career has stagnated somewhat in the past few years as the Bluebirds have struggled.

The former Celtic shot-stopper made 40 apparances for Cardiff last season, and so far this campaign he has been the Welsh club’s number one.
With Hull’s Allan McGregor facing fitness problems and back-up Eldin Jakupovic rather unconvincing, Hull have scope to bring in a new custodian and there aren’t many better than Marshall outside the Premier League.
