A report claims Hull are confident of landing the Chelsea player, who is said to have held talks with Nottingham Forest.
The Sun reported earlier this month that Hector was in talks with Forest, but Hull are said to be confident that Leonid Slutsky’s relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich can help them to land the 25-year-old.

And it is claimed a deal could be finalised within the next 24 hours.
Hector is yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea, whose capture of Antonio Rudiger earlier this month has pushed the Jamaican further down the Blues’ pecking order.
He spent the whole of last season with Eintracht Frankfurt, but looks set for a return to the Championship where he previously played 80 times for Reading – linked up with clubmate Ola Aina at Hull.
Forest, who completed their four summer signing in Tendayi Darikwa on Wednesday, are close to adding two central midfielders, according to manager Mark Warburton – one of whom being the Olympiacos player Andreas Bouchalakis (Nottingham Post).

It remains to be seen whether the Reds will seek to strengthen in Hector’s position, where they already have Michael Mancienne, Matt Mills, Jack Hobbs, Joe Worrall and Thomas Lam.
