Aston Villa have suffered horrendous luck with injuries this season.

Steve Bruce, Manager of Aston Villa looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Aston Villa at Craven Cottage on April 17, 2017 in London, England.

Aston Villa have received a huge boost ahead of their Championship run-in, according to the Express & Star, with their report stating that Jonathan Kodjia, Alan Hutton and Andre Green all emerged unscathed from a behind closed doors friendly played at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground against Peterborough United.

The Villans currently sit in fourth position in the Championship table, seven points adrift of second placed Cardiff City, having played a game more than Neil Warnock’s side.

Steve Bruce’s men lost back-to-back games last week, and their task of earning promotion back to the Premier League is now nearing on the impossible.

it could be argued that they need to win their final eight games if they are to have any chance of finishing inside the top two, and whilst that seems incredibly hard on paper, they have received a huge boost to their chances of doing just that.

The Express & Star claims that Bruce could have Kodjia, Hutton and Green all back and available for selection in time for their next match away at Hull City on March 31st.

Villa fans will be hoping that the return to action for some of their key men will provide their side with the impetus that they need to finish the season in fine fashion.
