West Ham United could have the defender back involved with the first-team this week.

According to a report from Football.London, West Ham could have Fabian Balbuena back and available for selection in time for their clash with Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday night, in news that will be a huge boost for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
The Hammers have really missed the big Paraguayan, affectionally known as the ‘general’, over the past couple of months.
Balbuena picked up a knee injury against Watford in December, and hasn’t featured for West Ham since then.
Pellegrini’s side currently sit in ninth spot in the Premier League table, just four points adrift of the Europa League spots, and they have struggled defensively during the 27-year-old’s absence.

So it will be a great boost for West Ham to have Balbuena back as soon as possible, and Football.London suggests that he will be available for Wednesday night’s game against City.
The Hammers will have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Pep Guardiola’s side, but having the Paraguay international back will fill Pellegrini’s men with confidence heading into the clash at the Etihad.
