According to The Scottish Sun, Eddie Howe wants to lure Everton striker Joshua King to Celtic once his own Parkhead move is done.
Howe isn’t yet confirmed as Celtic manager, but it looks like he will be confirmed as Neil Lennon’s successor in the very near future.
It’s claimed that Howe is already looking towards King as a potential new signing, picking him out as a target to replace Odsonne Edouard.
Edouard looks likely to be on the move this summer, and whilst he would bring in major funds, Celtic could bring in a free transfer in King.
The Norwegian joined Everton on a deal until the end of the season in January, but his £45,000-a-week deal isn’t likely to be extended.
King, 29, has yet to start a single game for the Toffees since arriving, and his eight substitute appearances have only amounted to 118 minutes of action.

Howe worked with King at Bournemouth, branding him ‘the complete package’ back in 2019 thanks to his physical, technical and mental attributes.
The Norwegian hit 50 goals in 170 games under Howe at Bournemouth, and a reunion should appeal after a tricky 2021 for the striker, even if it means taking a pay cut with the Bhoys.
