Tottenham Hotspur have added more massive news to the last 24 hours having confirmed Jose Mourinho’s exit.
The footballing world has already been rocked by the confirmation of a new Super League – something Tottenham have announced they’re a part of.
That news came last night, and Spurs followed it up this morning with the announcement that Mourinho has been sacked.
Recent form has been pretty poor, but few really expected Tottenham to part ways with Mourinho mere days before the Carabao Cup final.
Some will be wondering just how much Mourinho has been paid as part of his severance package, and the Daily Mail claim that it’s up to £20million.
It’s significantly less than the £30million previously suggested, but it’s still a huge fee for Daniel Levy and co to pay just to end Mourinho’s time at the club.

If Spurs go for a currently-employed manager, then Levy will have to spend even more money, and Eurosport claim Julian Nagelsmann is his top target.
Sport Bild now suggest that the RB Leipzig boss will cost around £17million to lure away from the Bundesliga side, meaning Tottenham’s total cost to replace Mourinho and hire Nagelsmann could reach around £35million.
