According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United’s coaching staff have been told that Paul Pogba will return to training next season.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with the United midfielder suggesting that he wants a ‘new challenge’.

However, United do not want to lose their most expensive player of all time and are planning to offer him a new contract.

The Red Devils coaching staff have already been told that Pogba will be staying at Old Trafford, despite interest from Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, United’s coaches are not said to have been best pleased with the news.

It is said that some United coaches were ‘far from overjoyed’ when informed that Pogba wouldn’t be sold this summer, due to the issues that he has caused on the training pitch this season.

Should United sell Pogba?

The million dollar question for United is whether Pogba’s ability on the pitch outweighs his flaws.

Pogba’s commitment and consistency can be questionable, but on his day he is arguably one of the very few world-class players that United posses.

With Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s side struggling in the transfer market already, it would be hard sourcing a replacement of similar quality to Pogba, and it is understandable why United want to hold on to the Frenchman.
