Arsenal and Aston Villa have both put in bids for Emi Buendia, but he would find it ‘very difficult’ to choose between the two if they offered similar financial packages.
At least that’s what a source close to the situation has reportedly told Football London.
Both Arsenal and Villa are in for Buendia, and it seems as though the race is on for his signature.
Buendia is seemingly spoilt for choice, and it apparently won’t be a straight-forward decision for him.
A few years ago when Arsenal were playing Champions League football and Villa were in the Championship, one would imagine that this would have been a much simpler decision, but Arsenal’s decline and Villa’s ascension has seen the gap between the two clubs close in recent years.
Of course, Buendia’s decision will be made easier if one club offers a significantly higher pay-packet, but with Villa spending so freely in recent seasons and Arsenal’s purse-strings tightening under the Kroenke’s there’s every chance that the Midlands club can compete with the London outfit on that front.
It sounds as though this saga will be a true transfer tussle, and while Buendia will reportedly find it tough to decide, having two top clubs chasing after you is certainly an enviable position to be in.
It remains to be seen where Buendia ends up after the summer window.
